Once again we are off on our annual trip to Botswana in September for 10 days and again it promises to be a spectacularly motivational event for the kids and volunteers alike. The dates are 30th September until 10th October. If you have any toys or arts and crafts materials that you wish to donate then please drop us a line. Fancy Dress Party.
July saw the 40th Birthday of Alex Buckley who chose to celebrate it by having a fund raising fancy dress party. Alex placed the following message on his just giving page and raised £330, by having a great time with his family and friends.
"If Carlsberg made humans they would give them a life like mine. I am the luckiest person alive. I have a beautiful wife and three amazingly wonderful boys. I cannot ask for anything more. Therefore for my birthday I really do not want any gifts. All I ask is for you to make a donation to one of these two very important, locally run children's charities (or both if you feel generous). Now we can not only have a fun night celebrating my birthday but we can also support two very worthy causes :)
Thank you all very much for your support and generousity"
All I can say is "what a guy"

Well done to Mike Wariebi, Errol Mcglothan, Robert Whitthread and me, who all competed in and completed the Sprint distance of the London Triathlon. Whilst having fun swimming around in the murky waters of the Royal Docks and cycling collectively we raised over £3000, and donations are still coming in.
Rob and Dave with their well deserved medals.
The Annual Ball raised just over £3,000 this year and a good time was had by the all. Once again soul intention blessed us with a phenomenal set of live music, and the diners were welcomed in by african drummers "Mammadi Kamara".
The format of the ball is to not only to raise funds, but also to highlight the work of PV in Botswana and to acknowledge the work of fundraisers and supporters alike.
We hope to see you there next year.
Project Volunteer Kenya
We have been instrumental in setting up a project in Kenya which is to be run by Monica Dan. Monica and her husband Andreas have been great supporters over the years to PV Botswana and this year under our guidance after stringent reviews of their project plans have agreed to support them in setting up PV Kenya.
Please read Project Volunteer Kenya Page.
If you wish to join the PV family and set up a local project we will be only too glad to support you with process, policies and procedures.
