The next trip out is in September 2013.  We will be continuing our focus of creating a summer camp with various activities for the children to do on a daily basis.  The past four trips have enabled us to prepare in advance the activites that we would like to do in order to minimise the impact of being rushed by the children.  By being prepared in advance we can ensure that all of the children are catered for.

This will give the carer's a break and also give the children an opportunity to learn new skills and activities. The main requirement is that you are willing to work with children and take part in assisting where you can.

The ongoing cost of supporting the Project Volunteer house in Serowe is £5000.  We would like to be able to send to SOS this amount every year to ensure that the children have in addition to taking a number of gifts. 

Money is good, whatever currency you have, no matter how small, it will go a long way to helping pay for the maintenance of a family.

£10 per week pays for 150 children to have an apple a day which is seen as a luxury.  Your donation is truly making a difference.

We have now built our first house and the focus for 2012 year is on raising funds to provide a water well and pump system for the Serowe village at a cost of £15,000. This is vital to help the village grow their own fruit and vegetables, which obviously helps with budgetary control

In addition donations of swimming costumes for girls, musical instruments, toys, sporting equipment all new or secondhand will be welcome.

No idea is too wacky and you could have fun doing it.  I encourage you to set up your own event and raise funds for this worthy cause.

Whether it be a golf day, a swear box, five a side football tournament, sponsored slim, sponsored row, etc. 

Whatever the idea we will help you to pull it together and ensure that it is a success. 

Do something worthwhile that you will also get some benefit from achieving the event, this will help to keep you motivated. 

If you have children and want to get the school involved, maybe collecting 20p pieces in smarties tubes or just by becoming pen friends with the children of Botswana, it all helps.
